Shattered Reflections My eyes are burning with the tears of a hundredmirrors,
Distorted reflections laying broken on the floor.
They grow no weaker in their misery,
Shattered mirrors just cut deeper than those left whole.

Each one carries a different face, a different life,
A dozen masks of the same circus clown.
One happy one sad, one funny, one hopeless,
And a dozen more with every emotion in between.

I stare down at shattered mirrors,
My own eyes stare back a hundred times.
In my tears I smashed them all,
Lies and deceit lay on the floor,
The only problem is that, somewhere, out there,
The real me is laying broken too.
